Located in the heart of the Adriatic, the island of Murter, with its beautiful hidden coves, is one of the most desirable holiday destinations in Croatia.
Not far from the highway exit, it is connected to the mainland by a drawbridge in Tisno, which rises twice a day (at 9.00am and 5.00pm), thus separating Murter from the mainland for a half an hour. Murter is also called “the entrance to the Kornati National Park” and nautical paradise.
Picturesque little fishing places such as Jezera, Betina and Murter have retained the original Dalmatian atmosphere where people still know, respect, laugh and sing with each other; while small hidden coves round off the feeling of comfort and pleasure.
During the summer, these places come to life and almost every evening they offer the opportunity to participate in one of the fishing festivals, summer games or cultural-artistic events.
In the immediate vicinity of Murter, there are Vodice, an award-winning tourist destination full of life with a picturesque promenade and an extraordinary gastronomic offer. !!!
On your way to Vodice, you should also visit Tribunj, a small romantic village known for its donkey race which is held every first Sunday in August. These precious animals that have been a great help to the locals are being honoured with the race.

The old town of Šibenik with its St. Jacob’s Cathedral, which is registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is one of the places you should visit.

Krka National Park, located in the hinterland of Šibenik, is known for its cascades of waterfalls and the Visovac monastery island. You can swim in front of the waterfall.
You sholud definitely visit Zadar, a thousand-year-old city with a historic city centre that has kept the street layout from the ancient times. It is also a city of magnificent Romanesque churches. While there take a walk on the promenade which is home to unique installations- Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun.
Nin, the oldest Croatian royal town located near Zadar, the island of Pag, famous for its cheeses and lace, and Biograd, which is at the very top of European destinations of excellence, are among places that we recommend you to visit.
